Industry Application of Different Types of Non woven Fabrics

Non woven fabrics break through traditional textile principles, and have the characteristics of short process flow, fast production speed, high output, low cost, wide use, and multiple sources of raw materials. They are a new generation of environmentally friendly materials, with the characteristics of water repellency, breathability, flexibility, non combustion support, non-toxic, non irritating, and rich colors.

The main fibers used in the production of nonwoven fabrics are polypropylene (PP) and polyester (PET).

According to the production process, it is divided into:

1. Spunlaced nonwoven fabric: 

The spunlaced process is to spray high-pressure micro water onto one or more layers of fiber mesh, causing the fibers to intertwine with each other, thereby strengthening the fiber mesh and providing a certain strength.

2. Spunbonded nonwoven fabric: 

Spunbonded nonwoven fabric is a process in which the polymer has been extruded and stretched to form continuous filaments, and the filaments are laid into a web. The web is then subjected to self adhesive, thermal adhesive, chemical adhesive, or mechanical reinforcement methods to turn the web into a nonwoven fabric.

3. Melt blown nonwoven fabric: 

The process of melt blown nonwoven fabric: polymer feeding - melt extrusion - fiber formation - fiber cooling - web formation - reinforcement into fabric. Industry applications of different types of nonwoven fabrics.

4.Needled nonwoven fabric: 

Needled nonwoven fabric is a type of dry process nonwoven fabric that utilizes the piercing action of a needle to reinforce a fluffy fiber mesh into a cloth.

5. Hydrophilic non-woven fabrics: mainly used in the production of medical and sanitary materials to achieve a better feel and not scratch the skin. Like sanitary napkins and sanitary pads, they utilize the hydrophilic function of hydrophilic nonwoven fabrics.

Industry applications of different types of nonwoven fabrics:

1. Non woven fabrics for medical and health purposes

Medical nonwoven fabric is a product with development potential, which fully utilizes the advantages of fiber as a health care material, and is the product of a new industrial discipline formed by the integration and intersection of various disciplines and technologies. Including surgical gowns, protective clothing, disinfection bags, masks, diapers, civilian cleaning cloths, wiping cloths, wet facial towels, magic towels, soft towel rolls, beauty products, sanitary towels, sanitary pads, and disposable sanitary cloths.

2. Agricultural nonwoven fabrics

Agricultural nonwoven fabrics have long service life, good effects, and low investment. The promotion and use of agricultural nonwoven fabrics is conducive to promoting agricultural modernization. Agricultural uses mainly include covering, heat insulation, thermal insulation, wind barriers, fruit protection, disease and pest prevention, seedling cultivation, sowing, and mulching.

3. Non woven fabrics for clothing

The nonwoven adhesive lining used for clothing has the characteristics of light weight, softness, low cost, wide range of thickness changes, strong adaptability, non directional fiber arrangement, and great flexibility, which is easy to match with various fabrics. Including linings, adhesive linings, wadding, shaped cotton, various synthetic leather bottoms, etc.

4. Home decoration, daily necessities, and packaging materials

It mainly refers to the lining fabric of sofas and beds, curtains and draperies, table cloths, household appliance covers, suits, automotive interiors, automotive protective covers, wipes, equipment materials, commodity packaging fabrics, etc.
